Angela Bassett enjoying GBK’s suite life

The Emmy Awards 2014 are a fading memory now, but the great luxury lifestyle gift lounge hosted by GBK Productions lingers fondly in the minds of all who attended. Fun-loving stars and reality personalities who enjoy Hollywood’s “suite life” were on hand for the event on the eve of TV’s big night.

Celebrity guests had an opportunity to enjoy gifts, refreshments and music by DJ Morgan Hildebrand at the posh L’Ermitage Hotel in Beverly Hills. Among them Angela Bassett, Edie Falco, Ellen Burstyn, Viola Davis, Beau Bridges, Richard Kind, Robert Morse, RJ Mitt, Megan Hayes, Sam Trammell, Corbin Bleu, Gary Cole, Judd Nelson, Patrick Warburton, Vanessa Lengies, Vanessa Marcil, Emily Wickersham, Heather McComb, Jesse Kovacs, Kristin Bauer Van Straten, Madeline Brewer, Jackson Rathbone, Travis Wall, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, and many more.

As always, GBK’s gracious host Gavin Keilly blended the gifting celebration with charity fundraising and featured several charities that had the celebrities offering their support for good causes. Cops 4 Causes was there to let everyone know about the first law enforcement non-profit organization created to collectively highlight the philanthropic efforts of Law Enforcement (cops4causes.org). They help veterans, families, homeless, and youngsters who get into trouble, among others. So, let’s salute the charitable cops.

Among the other causes were: the GO Campaign, a grantmaking organization that helps orphans and vulnerable children around the world (gocampaign.org); and the Environmental Media Association dedicated to using the power of the media to educate and motivate the public on environmental issues (ema-online.org). To delight the stars, there was an array of luxury skin care, beauty and health products. Presenting sponsor, Michael Todd True Organics was gifting their SONICLEAR, the World’s First Antimicrobial Sonic Skin Cleansing System. Also pampering guests were the KIND soap company with natural body care products; Brow Art 23 with filled make-up bags; Beauty Kitchen by Heather Marianna with whimsical natural soaps; Skinny & Co. Coconut Oil/American Velvet Company, providing their Skinny Coconut Oil; and for fitness David Barton Gym.

The VIP stars were impressed by the range of destinations that were showcased, including The Mulia, Mulia Resort & Villas – Nusa Dua, Bali, a luxurious resort located on the majestic coastline of Bali; Palace Resorts and Caribbean Living provided a stay at the Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort; and The Little Nell, Aspen’s five-star/five-diamond property which has the only ski-in, ski-out access to historic Aspen Mountain. Guests sampled Sequin Wines; Barry’s Gourmet Brownies; JeJu Sixteen Water; and LIQRpop – a unique “frozen cocktail” alcohol infused popsicle for adults to suck on!

Other sponsors included: unique Bluetooth headphones from LG Electronics; Maxim Mattress’ luxury line; The Original Pet-Pal, Pet Bedding with a Heart; Joanna Garzilli’s book Unleash The Psychic In You; and the StarPower company that gives fans backstage access to exclusive social media content and one-on-one engagement from their favorite celebrities–while supporting the causes they care about. StarPower put celebs in a swirling money booth to collect cast for their favorite charities.

Every star got the ultimate accessory– stylish sunglasses from Foster Grant. They dazzled the celebs, along with the luxury brand Di Modolo Milano, with their Linked By Love silver necklaces; also on hand Couture Rocks Fine Jewelry. And always a big wow in the fashion and accessories department is the display by The Artisan Group® (www.TheArtisanGroup.org), providing a lovely collection of trendy jewelry, spa and bath products, fine art photography, and other handcrafted gifts. They offer gifts for everyone for any occasion. Check them out, and treat yourself like a star. #
